Ryo Yamada
pianist, composer
Originally from Aichi, Japan, Ryo Yamada is currently based in the Netherlands, He is a member of the music division of De Haagse Kunstkring, a historic Dutch art society founded in 1891, and serves as conductor of the Japanese choir Sora in the Netherlands.
He graduated with a degree in composition from Aichi University of the Arts. Drawing inspiration from a wide range of genres—including jazz, classical, contemporary, and pop—he has developed a unique and personal musical style.
Centering his work on jazz piano and free improvisation, he has collaborated with numerous musicians as well as artists from other disciplines such as theater, visual arts, and dance, contributing to stage productions and improvised performances.
After working as a university lecturer and contracted concert hall artist, he now leads Daily Music, an initiative dedicated to spreading the joy of music through innovative and effective “10-minute daily lessons.”

愛知県出身。東京での活動を経て、現在はオランダを拠点にヨーロッパで活動中。1891年設立の歴史ある芸術団体 De Haagse Kunstkring の音楽部門メンバー。オランダの日本人コーラス『空』指揮者。
愛知県立芸術大学作曲専攻卒業。ジャズ、クラシック、現代音楽、ポップスなど、ジャンルを越えて音楽に触れながら、自分自身のスタイルを磨く。
ジャズピアノや自由な即興演奏を中心に、これまで数多くの音楽家と共演。演劇、美術、ダンスなど、異分野のアーティストとのコラボレーションも積極的に行い、舞台作品や即興的なパフォーマンスにも取り組んできた。
音楽大学の講師やホールの契約アーティストとしての活動を経て、現在は Daily Music の代表。革新的で効果的な『毎日10分レッスン』を通じて、音楽の楽しさを広める取り組みを続けている。
